Themed sessions for children from 18 months to 4 years to enjoy creating, exploring fun materials and methods. Also great for parents and carers to meet other likeminded adults in a friendly supportive environment. Come along and enjoy quality time with your child making memories and leave the clearing up for me!

Who's me? I’m Lizzy and I run Crafty Chameleon Kids.  Since 2004 I have worked with children in a variety of settings including speech and language therapy and education. During this time I took a break to have my two amazing daughters who are now 10 and 8. They love to get messy and create - whether that’s mud pies in the garden or covering the table (and themselves) in paint, glitter and glue.

Young children are naturally curious and love to use their imagination.  Creative activities help them to learn about their world and express themselves.  When children are encouraged to explore and experiment, they have original ideas, and their ability to concentrate improves as they focus on an activity they enjoy and fully engage with.

Participating in creative activities allows children to hear and use language to describe shape, texture, size, and colour as well as actions such as cutting, sticking and painting.   Manipulating art materials such as holding a paint brush or crayons, using stickers or using scissors helps the development of fine motor skills and hand eye coordination, which are essential when learning new skills such as writing or dressing themselves independently.

I am passionate about providing classes for young children that allow them to express themselves creatively whilst developing their language and fine motor skills.

Sessions last for 45 minutes. Aprons are provided for the children, but old clothes are recommended. You may want to bring a change of clothes as we might get messy!  All activities and materials are child safe.

Session are pre-bookable and run termly for 6 weeks.
